Kyushu earthquake halts major auto and chip production in Japan

Production will be suspended: Toyota, Honda, Renesas, TSMC, and others can be halted operations in Kyushu after the 7..0-magnitude quake which can damage infrastructure and disrupted power.

Supply chain risk: Kyushu's importance in auto and chipmaking raises fears of global production will delay recalling the 2011 Tohoku earthquake's industry-wide effects.

Recovery uncertain: Companies are conducting safety checks and repairs, with some planning to resume by July 31 of 2026 , but aftershocks and logistics issues remain concerns.

And there will have another problem that can be very seriously , a new earthquake of 9.0 that can hit Japan in 26 March 2030 . This is the big problem for japanese and industries to face it .
