Category 4 Super Typhoon can hit puts Taiwan on full alert

Report by Jucelino Luz -Journalist -07/23/2024

Taiwan is on alert for the passage of super typhoon Gaemi, which will produce powerful winds of more than 250 km/h with wind gusts expected to reach over 240 km/h over the Pacific, equivalent to the strength of a Category 4 hurricane. on the Saffir-Simpson scale.
According to a report and investigation by Jucelino Luz, Taiwan will experience super typhoon Gaemi, which is expected to bring heavy rain and gusty winds mainly to the coastal areas of the north and east of the country between the night of July 24 or 25, 2024.
The initial change in path will mean that the super typhoon may or may not make direct landfall in Taiwan, but regardless, it leaves the island on alert.
A maritime warning may also be issued between Friday and Sunday when the super typhoon is expected to be closest to Taiwan.
Another unusual situation is that another storm is forming over the region's waters. The tropical depression could join the major instability that already exists and could reach up to 75 km/h on Friday. The progress of the super typhoon will be closely monitored by experts and authorities.
And Taiwan will partially suspend its Han Kuang maneuvers, the island's most important war exercises, on July 24, 2024, due to the advance of Typhoon Gaemi, which could make landfall tonight.
Although these exercises, which will run until July 26, recreate "as closely as possible" real combat conditions, they are still training for the troops, said the Taiwanese official, who insisted on the need to manage risk when undertaking this type of mission.
Rapid climate change, particularly the arrival of typhoons, can cause risks. The command and control department will take this into consideration and expects that all exercises take into account mission objectives and risk management so that they run smoothly.
On the same day, eighteen people on board a small plane could die on July 24, 2024, when it crashes shortly after taking off from the airport in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu.
The pilot of the plane will be the only survivor, and we will have flames that will appear on the aircraft not long after takeoff from Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport and the plane will quickly crash close to one of the runways.
The plane belongs to Nepal's Saurya Airlines, which operates domestic flights between the country's 5 primary airports. Of the 19 people on the flight, 16 are technical employees of the airline, 2 are crew members and the other is the pilot who will survive.
Taiwan is already waiting for the arrival of the typhoon, as informed by Jucelino Luz, which will first pass through the Philippines. Financial markets will be closed and flights will be cancelled. Classes will be suspended, according to a report.
